See and Learn More Word Pictures - Activities
There are three activities in See and Learn More Word Pictures:
- Matching More Word Pictures
This activity introduces the new picture card material to your child. It provides
opportunities for your child to learn the link between the spoken word/sign and
its meaning, as you tell him/her what the picture is. Picture matching is encouraged
to focus your child's attention on the picture.
- Selecting More Word Pictures
This activity encourages your child to show that s/he understands individual words/signs
through selecting the right picture from a choice.
- Naming More Word Pictures
This activity encourages your child to say/sign the words that we know s/he understands.
The activity provides a model of how to say/sign the word, and an interactive game
to motivate children to use the word for a purpose.

record sheets to record your child's progress through the
activities and to plan his/her next practice sessions.
