Welcome

Coming soon from Down Syndrome Education International -

See and Learn is a programme that supports early language learning. It provides step-by-step guidance through graded activities that are designed to develop spoken language and reading skills.

We are working to make the programme freely available online in summer 2008. Please check back for updates.

About See and Learn

See and Learn is designed to build on the visual learning strengths of children with Down syndrome. It emphasises the visual presentation of language through reading.

See and Learn promotes vocabulary and grammar development.

See and Learn offers activities that can be practised regularly at home in fun and engaging ways. The materials are also suitable for small group and classroom use.

Pilot materials

We are making guides, activity sheets and checklists from the pilot materials.

These are not the final versions and you will need to make your picture cards and word cards, but you can use the guides to get started.

Check back regularly as we start to get pictures and flashcards uploaded.

Pilot materials can be found here...
